A very dear friend of mine posed a question to me and I’d like to share it with you also. Imagine yourself somewhere in the future having a conversation with your now self. You lean back in your chair and ask your future self if there was some bit of advice, some defining moment in your life that you could do better or change to impact the quality of life of your future self.
I was about to answer when my friend put her finger to my mouth and said shhh. Just take the time and think about that for a while Steve O. There really isn’t a right or wrong answer.
Over the course of a couple weeks quite a few answers came to mind. If I had just practiced hitting that baseball a little bit more as a kid. What if I didn’t join the Army when I was 17? Maybe I could have saved more money and not gone on that vacation.
As I reflected there were lots of emotions, memories, many chuckles, but most of all a feeling of gratitude came over me. There was a time in my life that very question would have provoked deep regrets in me. All the things I could have done better, been better at, tried harder, studied more… Something had changed in me though and I now reflected on these very events and rather than feeling regret, I was grateful.
I remembered the time I hitched a ride to Maine just because I wanted to see it for myself. I had little money and certainly not the right clothing for a winter spent hunkered down in Maine. I survived and am ever grateful to know I really don’t like cold weather. I remember the time I sold bottles of water at Grateful Dead shows traveling the West Coast when I was a broke college kid.
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
When I look back at all the things that have changed my life I realize there was an important one that I could have just as easily walked away. There was a girl who was very drunk as her friend attempted to walk her to their car. She was falling down and it got to the point where it was noticeable and a couple of shady characters were watching. I decided to step in and practically had to fight off the guys who were preying on the helpless drunk girl.
The other day, one of those girls, a friend of mine posed a question to me and today I shared it with you too.
There’s a lot going on in the store and I am super happy to share that with you today.
I’ve released a whole new section of single molecules under mixing supplies. You may now obtain single molecules in 10 ml alcohol or oil in four denominations. I know you’ll be impressed with the high-quality of the molecules as I am and I’ll be adding even more soon. You can see them here: Mixing Supplies - Research Molecules
Recently I’ve released three new blends in the Beta Testing area and so far feedback has been tremendous. First we have XS108 Best AKA Rave Couture for all the gay men out there. This one is pretty awesome and captures all the super awesomeness of gay men.
The next is just for the ladies and is modeled after the old MX135 from Androtics. My ex swore by this stuff and insisted that since I got her hooked on it I had to come up with a replacement. Ladies you’re going to love this blend.
Last, but certainly not least is XS111 Beta AKA Dancing Jokers Love Boat. This blend was created by none other than Dancing Joker and is brought to you exactly to his specifications and so far the results have been tremendous. Its the very first XS blend that comes directly from a customer and friend. This is a Unisexy blend and I know you will be as impressed as I am with it.
