Insurance Costs

Domestic USA: $1.00 per $100

International: $1.50 per $100

Coverage

Coverage is optional; however (Aser Gruppe International, Corp. (API) will not be held responsible for any orders shipped without shipping insurance. 

Insurance covers shipments, parcels and contents from all risks of physical loss or damage from an external cause while in transit. Some exclusions (as listed below) will apply.

Shipments must originate in the United States of America. This insurance coverage is on a parcel-by-parcel basis, and each individual insured parcel must have a declared value for coverage.

Important International Coverage

By agreeing to this insurance policy, you are agreeing to the full value of your order added to the customs documentation. This declaration may incur additional VAT and/or customs taxes. Aser Gruppe International is not responsible for these.

Both Domestic and International orders who purchased optional shipping insurance acknowledge insurance coverage is provided by Voyager Indemnity Insurance Company. Voyager is a non-admitted insurer.

Loss claims will not be covered if the Carrier confirms the successful delivery of a parcel to the correct destination address. 

Coverage exclusions and conditions

All packaging material and damaged goods must be kept in the original form as received. Packaging and damaged goods should not be disposed of, released to the shipping carrier, or returned to the seller before a claim is completed. Failure to comply can result in the denial of the claim.

During the claims process, a claim statement/affidavit signed by the recipient (or intended recipient) will be required.

EXCLUSIONS

This program does not provide coverage for the following:

Shipments sent to Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Burma, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Liberia, Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela. Any location that would be in violation of any U.S. economic or trade sanctions including OFAC Restricted Countries. For shipments to Russian and other Commonwealth of Independent States countries (includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) coverage ceases upon touchdown of the aircraft at the airport of destination or upon discharge from the overseas vessel at the destination discharge port.
